A Chicago woman killed her boyfriend by dumping bleach down his throat, police said.

Yasmine Elder, 24, was squabbling with her beau, Darrius Ellis, 26, early Monday while sitting in a van on Chicago’s South Side, when things took a violent turn, authorities said.

She overpowered Ellis, forced him down and poured the corrosive liquid down his throat, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing police sources.

Police found Ellis lying on the ground sometime later in the morning, and he was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Ellis died of “complications from forcible administration of a caustic substance,” the Tribune reported, citing the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Ellis, the father of a 5-year-old son, was “a good kid … everybody loved him,” relatives told the paper.

Elder was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Monday and was scheduled to appear for a bond hearing Thursday. She is facing first-degree murder charges.
