A serial female pedophile who plied at least one of her teen victims with Nike sneakers after she had sex with him will be spending two years in the slammer, an English court has ruled.
Gail Wright, 44, met her five victims last year and developed a relationship with each of them, first on Facebook, dispatching naked photos through the site to groom five teen boys, who were all between the ages of 14 and 15, authorities said.
After developing a relationship with her first victim, she began sending naked pictures of herself and making sexually explicit comments, authorities said.
The teen said he felt he could “talk to her about things,” but their relationship quickly escalated, Nottingham Crown Court heard.
She later began a sexual relationship with another teen, buying him Nike Air sneakers, and clothes for his 16th birthday, police said.
Another victim became acquainted with Wright after he borrowed a chum’s phone, saw her Facebook account information, and began to message her himself.
Her inappropriate behavior came to light when one of the boy’s fathers saw the pictures on his phone and alerted cops.
The other parents eventually found out and contacted investigators, who said they discovered 42 explicit images on Wright’s iPad.
Wright, of Elmtree Close in Shireoaks, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child, two counts of possessing indecent images of a child, and four of causing a child to look at images of sexual activity.
The case is unusual because the perpetrator was a woman, police said.
“This goes to show that although the overwhelming majority of sexual exploitation cases brought to the attention of police are perpetrated by men against girls, we cannot be complacent about the fact that it can happen to anyone, anywhere,” Detective Inspector Pete Quinn of the Nottinghamshire police said.
“The teenagers in this case have shown courage and maturity in disclosing what happened and I hope that the sentence handed down today will help them and their families move on from a very distressing time.”
Wright will also be on the registered sex offenders list for 10 years.
