A woman accused of tossing her newborn baby to her death from a seventh-story window has been indicted on second-degree murder charges, authorities said Tuesday.
Jennifer Berry, 33, of Yonkers, told her boyfriend, who lives in The Bronx, that she had an abortion four months before she allegedly threw the baby girl from his bathroom window last month.
The city medical examiner determined the infant was alive when she was born and that the cause of death was blunt-force trauma.
Berry also was indicted on first- and second-degree manslaughter charges. She faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
