A man who escaped from a Brooklyn hospital while in police custody tried to hide out in a nearby home — where he spotted an NYPD officer’s uniform on a hanger belonging to the cop who lives there, sources said.

“He’s like, ‘Oh f—, this is just my luck,’” a law-enforcement said of suspect William Casado, 28. “He was dejected and just gave up.”

Casado, 29, unknowingly ran into the officer’s backyard and entered the home through an unlocked door as cops gave chase following his escape from Coney Island Hospital around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, sources said.

But once inside, Casado scared the daylights out of the cop’s mom, sending her running from the house screaming, sources said. The cop wasn’t home at the time.

He then noticed a freshly pressed police uniform hanging from a door and realized he’d picked the wrong house to hide out in.

Cops had arrested Casado earlier in the day for violating an order of protection and hauled him down to the 60th Precinct after a brief struggle. He was charged with criminal contempt, cops said.

Hours later, Casado began complaining to cops that his arm was hurting and that he was in need of medical attention, so officers took him to Coney Island Hospital for treatment, according to police.
