A former Philadelphia madam who called herself the "Michelangelo of buttocks injections" will spend the next 10 to 20 years behind bars for a "body sculpting" surgery that killed a British woman.
Padge-Victoria Windslowe, a transgender hip-hop artist who went by the name "Black Madam," was sentenced Thursday for the illegal 2011 injection that shot silicone into not only Claudia Aderotimi's buttocks, but her lungs.
Windslowe not only lacked medical training but used deadly products to perform her injections, including industrial-grade silicone and Krazy Glue, prosecutors said. The 45-year-old's lawyer said Windslowe is extremely remorseful about her client's death but believed that her so-called "pumping parties" were perfectly safe.
Windslowe was also a transgender 'Gothic hip-hop artist' but was best known for administering illegal butt injections.
Her attorneys argued that she had numerous others clients, all of which never had any prior problems. That was until Aderotimi, a 20-year-old aspiring hip-hip dancer from London, died from the botched procedure while in her care.Windslowe has already served three years in prison for Aderotimi's death.
