This would-be drug smuggler didn’t picture getting caught.
Customs and Border Protection officers at Newark Airport busted passenger Andres Espinosa trying to smuggle cocaine hidden inside film canisters into the U.S.
Espinosa was nabbed after officers searched his bag when his flight from Bogota, Colombia, arrived.
They found an estimated 10 pounds of cocaine with an approximate street value of $117,000 stored in some of his 36 film canisters.
“Cocaine is a dangerous narcotic, and Customs and Border Protection does its part in keeping these drugs off the streets,” said agency director Robert Perez.
Espinosa now faces federal charges.
