Bank Manager Busted for Running Weed Business at Work
A JPMorgan Chase bank manager doubled as a drug dealer while at work, peddling weed in his employer’s parking lot and then stashing his illicit proceeds in safety-deposit boxes, authorities said Thursday.
Christian Santorelli, a branch manager for JP Morgan Chase in North Massapequa, Long Island, was busted after agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration spotted him meeting buyers in his Chevy Tahoe in the parking lot four times, court papers state.
On another occasion, he allegedly left the bank and met with a buyer in the parking lot of a local pizzeria. The feds watched as the buyer handed him cash in exchange for what was believed to marijuana, the papers state.
Cops swooped in, searched his car and found pot and almost $3,000 in Santorelli’s pocket, officials said.
The cops then seized almost $125,000 in cash that he kept in two safety-deposit boxes at the bank.
All the money tested positive for narcotics.
