Carjackers Drop Kid Off at Virginia Elementary School After Finding Him in Backseat

Two thieves in Virginia tried getting some good car-ma after dropping off a boy at school in a stolen vehicle.

The two carjackers drove an abducted child to school on Wednesday morning after noticing the boy in the backseat of a ride they had swiped, Norfolk police said.

The education-minded thieves asked the 8-year-old what school he went to, then dropped him off at Ghent Elementary, the boy told police. They then drove off and dumped the car about three miles away.

The boy told the thieves that he went to Ghent Elementary School after they noticed him sitting in the back.

The thieves saw a chance to steal the car after it was left running outside the post office, where the child's mother works, local stations reported. After she briefly stepped out of the car, the two auto-crooks dashed in and drove off with her car — and her son.

Luckily, police found the child unharmed in class shortly after they were called.

Cops are still searching for the school-friendly car thieves. Police did not clarify if the mother would be facing charges for leaving her child.
